Rita Shindnes, RN, MPA
Regional Executive Director
Rita has more than 18 years experience in the healthcare field with an extensive background in sales, marketing and patient care, a strong skill-set that has allowed her to develop relationships with families and the professionals who serve them. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Rita was Administrator and Director of Patient Services at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children Community Care Professionals, LHCSA in Elmhurst, New York. Throughout her time there she oversaw all aspects of the Licensed Home Care Services Agency, maintained community relations and developed long and short-term strategic plans. Among her achievements, she spearheaded the growth, development, management and clinical oversight as Branch Administrator at Premier Home Health Services, Inc. and implemented a High Risk Disease Management program specific to network providers as Providers Services Manager at Healthways, Inc. Rita earned a Registered Nurse degree from Rabin Medical Center, Hasharon School of Nursing in Israel, a Bachelors of Arts degree in Healthcare Systems from New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire and a Master of Public Administration degree in Healthcare Systems from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Rita holds licensure in the states of New York and New Jersey as a Registered Nurse and holds certification in PRI. She is a member of the New York City chapters for Case Management Society of America and National Association of Professional Geriatric Case Managers and is fluent in English, Russian and Hebrew.
Rick Wetterberg, MBA, LNHA
Executive Director
Rick has an extensive background working in healthcare management for over 20 years. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, he was the Executive Director for Brighten at Medford where he managed their 142 bed skilled nursing facility and directed day to day operations. Rick has also served as the Branch Director for Gentiva Home Health Services overseeing patient care and general management. As the Executive Director of Branitree Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, he was responsible for daily operations and fiscal management, and as the Administrator for Regent Park Manor, he ran the 120 bed Medicare/Medicaid nursing facility and earned multiple deficiency free surveys from the Department of Public Health. He received his MBA in Public Healthcare from the Lesley University School of Management and completed the Geriatric Health Training Program at Boston University School of Medicine. Among his credentials, Rick is a Vice Chairman of the Weymouth Board of Health.
David Zychowski
Regional Director of Professional Relations
David brings more than 15 years experience in the healthcare field with an extensive background in sales, marketing and operations to his role as Regional Director of Professional Relations. His strong skill-set has allowed David to develop long-term relationships and strategically set up business plans throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, David served as District Director of Sales Development for Kindred Healthcare where he developed sub-acute specialty clinical programs, forecasted and attained census targets for 23 skilled nursing facilities and was responsible for sales initiatives for hospital and medical staff. Other career highlights include creating and delivering a consultative sales training program as Owner and Sales Consultant of 6 Degree Network Consulting and executing a successful turnaround strategy through aggressive strategic planning as Vice President of NP Care. David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Marketing from University of Connecticut.
Steve Kiley
Director of Professional Relations
Steve brings more than 20 years of clinical, marketing and sales experience in the healthcare field to his role as Director of Professional Relations. His strong skill-set has allowed Steve to develop long-term relationships and provide strategic marketing throughout the Massachusetts area. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Steve served as Clinical Sales Liaison for Genesis where he called on case managers from all Boston hospitals, assisted with local healthcare promotions and events and increased New England Sinai and VA Hospital referrals by over 200%. Other career highlights include increasing hospice admissions by 70% as Hospice Liaison for LifeCare/Affinity and helping grow area from 6 nursing homes and 24 therapists to 32 nursing homes and nearly 100 therapists as Rehabilitation Area Marketing Manager for NovaCare. Steve also has an extensive military background and served in the U.S. Army Reserves in two roles as a Military Police Officer, and in the field of Occupational Therapy. Among his duties he completed numerous rigorous leadership training courses, was responsible for the well-being of 34 soldiers and served as an Occupational Therapy Assistant at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center during Operation Desert Storm. Steve attended the Rhode Island Military Academy's Officer Candidate School, earned his Applied Science Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) degree from St. Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas and earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree from Rhode Island College.
Rosario "Cherry" Maddela-Garrido, RN, BSN
Care Manager
Cherry comes to SeniorBridge as a nursing professional with more than 30 years experience in public health and clinical nursing. Her diverse background in providing high quality healthcare includes home visitation, in-patient and out-patient care and clinical education. Most recently, Cherry was a Level-1 Trauma Surgery Nurse for St. Louis University Hospital where her scope of practice included neurology, neurosurgery, geriatrics, nephrology, orthopedics, infectious disease, telemetry and oncology. She further contributed her talents to the hospital by serving as a Nurse Supervisor, as a Research Nurse Coordinator for the Department of Surgery and as a committee member on the Nurse Practice Council and for Evidenced Based Medicine. Simultaneously, for the St. Louis County Department of Health Communicable Disease Center, Cherry was a Public Health Nurse Consultant and helped direct and facilitate their H1N1 Immunization Clinic. Among these accomplishments, she has also been a guest lecturer for various conferences, attended the International Council of Nurses in Tokyo, Japan as President of The Philippine Nursing Students' Association and is tri-lingual, speaking English, Spanish and Tagalog. Cherry received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Philippine Women's University in Manila, Philippines and holds licensure as a Registered Nurse in Missouri and Massachusetts.
Gail L. Madjzoub, RN
Care Manager
For more than 35 years, Gail has accumulated a wealth of experience in diverse healthcare and educational environments. Most recently, she was Charge Nurse at the Orchard Cove Skilled Nursing facility and on call for independent residents of the Orchard Cove retirement community in Canton. She previously served as Education Coordinator at Kindred Hospital Northeast, organizing and delivering professional orientation and in-service programs. Gail's experience includes clinical Med-Surg nursing in ICU, Neurosurgical ICU, and Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing/Rehab. She is also a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and Certified Professional Life Coach. Earlier in her career, Gail worked in Switzerland as Office Administrator for the Baha'i International Community and educated high school and university students in Zimbabwe. She received her RN from New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing and a BA Hons in Modern Languages, Post-Grad Diploma in Translation, from the University of Zimbabwe.
Sarah Wright
Care Manager Social Worker
Sarah has more than 15 years experience in the healthcare field, with particular expertise in executive management. Prior to joining SeniorBridge, Sarah served as Founder and President of Social Work in Progress, LLC, a company providing master's level social workers to geriatric and medical setting for per diem, part time, full time, temporary and permanent assignments in Dedham, Massachusetts. After starting the company as primarily a temporary staffing service, Sarah expanded operations to include recruitment, professional development, clinical supervision, and client-specific services such as obtaining free medications for income-eligible patients through drug manufacturers' patient assistance programs. Other experience includes working at the University at Albany, State University of New York's School of Social Welfare, where she completed her doctoral essay and taught all Master of Social Work foundation classes. Sarah earned a Bachelors of Social Work degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
